Pordenone Design Week 2019

The eighth edition of Pordenone Design Week is going to see life since Monday 4th to Saturday 9th March: the design week will be animated by workshops, exhibitions, open classes, presentations of novelties and special events, in collaboration with local companies and with the participation of the ISIA school from Rome.

For design enthusiasts, professionals or simply curious, we hereby offer a selection of what Pordenone Design Week has to offer.

“Infoscapes” Show

More than an exhibition, a review on digital multimedia transduction in images. Inside it will be possible to see dynamic images, audiovisuals and installations developed by 2D or 3D software, divided into three categories:

  • Datascapes: images processed by algorithms. Big Data, AI and Deep Learning in action.
  • Bodyscapes: representations realized starting or focusing on the image of the body and re-elaborated by algorithms.
  • Bodyscapes: representations realized starting or focusing on the image of the body and re-elaborated by algorithms.
  • Landscapes: environmental installations that constitute a physical space that can be participated by the public and, in part, going interactive.

Learning

Between Thursday 8th and Friday 9th March, in selected shops scattered around the historic center of Pordenone, professionals and young designers will present their projects, works, books. Here are some events not to be missed:

  • The oblique books” by Safara.

An independent publishing house dedicated to fiction – with an eye for design. Starting from the same, very original, form of his books: oblique.

  • Spunti e spuntini (cues and snacks).

Architects and retail designers show how design can bring out the soul of a store.

  • Project 2.73: prototype of a resilient resident home in Venice.

The architect Alvise Giacomazzi presents 2.73, a prototype of home in “permanent beta” able to constantly improve thanks to user feedback.

For the exact location, follow the announcements on the Facebook page dedicated to the PDW 2019.

What else do you find in Pordenone
